At 39, Colombian-born actress Sofia Vergara decided on a birthday bash in Mexico. The 'Modern Family' starlet made a wish, blew out the candles and shared her birthday cake with some very special guests -- The Smurfs.
The Colombian beauty had a blast with her little blue friends, sharing the details of her birthday visit on Twitter and Facebook. It wasn't all a party, though. Sofia took some photos with 'The Smurfs,' in part, to promote the film in Mexico.
Sofia was considered for a role in the 'The Smurfs' at what many feel is a high point in the actress's career, particularly with the huge success of 'Modern Family.'
The film began shooting last year and debuts in August. Sofia plays a French cosmetics executive who lives out some crazy moments with the cute blue creatures.
